APSA membership gives employees a voice in shaping their workplace and future at The Aerospace Corporation
Members can:
Vote in APSA elections
Run for leadership positions
Petition for organizational changes
Serve on APSA committees
A larger membership strengthens APSA's bargaining power during contract negotiations
The negotiated contract provides:
Stable pay
Employee benefits
Consistent working conditions
All bargaining unit employees, regardless of APSA membership, are covered by the negotiated labor contract
APSA represents all non-supervisory MTS Level I, II, and III employees in the bargaining unit at no cost
Employees can join APSA as full members by completing a membership form and paying dues
Membership dues are $2.25 per week, unchanged since 1974
APSA maintains low dues by relying on volunteer officers and retired/former Aerospace employees
Two membership categories:
Full Members: MTS Level I, II, and III employees
Associate Members: Employees outside the bargaining unit
APSA advocates for both bargaining unit employees and APSA members
Membership dues help fund:
Member communications and bulletins (approximately 30%)
Legal assistance for APSA and employees (approximately 65%)
Employees have layoff protections, with layoffs based on work availability and qualifications rather than arbitrary decisions
